Career:
Andy played for Somerset County Cricket Club and England. For England Andy made 62 Test and 54 One-day international appearances. He has enjoyed many highlights at international level, including taking four wickets in an over against the West Indies at Headingley in 2000. In all, Andy took 234 Test wickets at an average of under 30 and also boasts 69 one day international victims at a similar average.
He was one of Wisden's 'Cricketers of the Year' in 2001 In the 2005 season took his 1,000th first class wicket, becoming one of only six current players to have reached that landmark. Andys' best season for Somerset was in 1998 when he claimed 105 first class wickets.
Present Day:
Away from cricket Andy is now involved in several projects. He is a Sales Director for WOWee ONE - portable speakers. Andy also fronts a company called Brightside Group plc, which is one of the fastest growing insurance broking and financial services businesses in the UK.
Andy is owns UK Heli-Sales a helicopter brokerage company, he is also a sales consultant for "Charter A" who specialise in rotary and fixed wing aircraft sales.

Andy is married to Sarah and they have two children. Andy still lives in Somerset, his parents, brother and sister all live in Christchurch New Zealand. He is also a qualified helicopter pilot and enjoys relaxing on the golf course.
